United, City And Newcastle Vying With European Giants For Rangers Teenage Prodigy

Manchester United, Manchester City and Newcastle are among the clubs pursuing Rangers midfielder Bailey Rice, according to reports in England.

The 16-year-old made his debut for the senior side last month, coming on as a late substitute during the 3-0 win over Livingston.

Rice’s progress is being tracked by a whole host of teams. In addition to the Premier League clubs mentioned, the likes of Real Madrid, Porto, Monaco, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig are also watching the teenager.

It should be noted that the Scotland Under 17 international only moved to Ibrox last summer, after he turned down a professional contract at Motherwell to make the switch to the Light Blues.

For that reason, it would be a big surprise if the Gers were prepared to let Rice go. Manager Michael Beale clearly rates the youngster, considering his first team selection, so we shall see how this story develops.
