Rangers are interested in signing Standard Liege midfielder Nicolas Raskin before the transfer window closes, according to reports in the Scottish media.
The 21-year-old is believed to be valued at around €5.5m (£4.7m) by his club, but Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side are hoping to agree a deal for a lower fee.
Supporters on Twitter are sceptical about making a move for Raskin, who hasn’t really set the world alight since making his first-team breakthrough at Standard:
Yayyyy another midfielder who doesnt score or assist

It seems as if the Gers’ scouts have seen something in Raskin that others have perhaps missed, but his price tag does look pretty steep.
With the likes of Glen Kamara, John Lundstram, Steven Davis, Ryan Jack and James Sands already at the club, you do struggle to see where Raskin would fit in but he may be seen as a long-term project.
Both Jack and Davis have contracts that expire next summer and the Belgian Under 21 international could be a replacement for one of them.
