“Will Be Worth €100m In Just Two Years” Club Owner Makes Stunning Claim About Rangers Star

FC Steaua owner Gigi Bekali has made the astonishing claim that Rangers midfielder Ianis Hagi will be worth €100m in just a couple of years.

The 21-year-old made a huge impression on his full debut for the Bears last week, by scoring the winner in the 2-1 win over Hibernian, and despite having loaned him from Genk with a view to a permanent move, Bekali thinks he could well turn out to be a massive bargain for Steven Gerrard’s side:

“I think he will be a great European footballer in the future. For me, he will be worth €100m in just two years. Why don’t you ask a specialist why Ianis costs €4m? Does anyone have the courage to evaluate it?”

With Hagi being the son of Romanian legend Gheorghe, there has been a lot of pressure on his son from a young age, and Bekali’s comments will certainly not ease the burden.

Big moves to Fiorentina and Genk have already failed to work out for the midfielder, but he will be hoping that being mentored by someone of the stature of Gerrard, will allow him to grow and realise his potential. Whether he’ll ever be worth nine figures, though, it remains to be seen.
