“What An Asset He Will Be…” Dalglish Backs Returning Player To Make A Difference For Struggling Rangers

Kenny Dalglish believes Kemar Roofe’s return from injury could help Rangers get back on track after a poor run of form.

The 29-year-old has made substitute appearances against Dundee and Livingston and Dalglish feels that, when he is ready to start games again, he could prove to be a big “asset” for the beleaguered Giovanni van Bronckhorst:

“There is no doubting the quality he possesses. If he can stay fit, what an asset he will be for Giovanni and the team. The Light Blues have a busy schedule in the next few weeks. It’s vital they have as many players as possible to choose from.”

Roofe has looked impressive in his two brief cameos so far and he does have that extra bit of quality in the final third that the Gers have sorely missed in recent matches.

The Jamaican forward‘s movement and pace provides van Bronckhorst with a different option he can deploy in the front three, and his ability to play in multiple positions is also a bonus.

Most importantly, though, with Alfredo Morelos having struggled to find his best levels this season, having someone like Roofe who can take the workload off Antonio Colak is vital.
