Rangers are working on deals for Nottingham Forest defender Jonathan Panzo and Los Angeles FC midfielder Jose Cifuentes, according to The Herald.
After wrapping up a move for Cremonese’s Cyriel Dessers, it is believed that the Light Blues will try and seal their seventh and eighth signings of the summer transfer window in short order.
The Herald claim that a move for Panzo is “positively progressing” despite claims in recent days that a deal for the former Chelsea academy player had stalled.
It had been reported that the Gers had not yet to decided to make a formal offer for the 22-year-old, despite knowing the player’s wage demands and asking price.
From the sound of things, though, a bid for Panzo could be tabled pretty soon, although there are also said to be teams in England and Germany keen on the centre-back, so this transfer is by no means sewn up.
Cifuentes’s move to Rangers is edging closer
While the Ecuadorian international has been linked with a move to Ibrox for quite some time, there hasn’t been much movement on the transfer for a number of weeks.
One of the main reasons is believed to be that Cifuentes’s club, Los Angeles FC, were demanding a sizeable transfer fee despite the midfielder having less than six months left on his contract. However, an Ecuadorian news outlet, Mr Offsider says a deal could now be in reach:

Whether their information turns out to be accurate, we shall have to wait and see, but it appears Rangers boss Michael Beale isn’t messing around in trying to get in as many new players as possible during pre-season.
