Rangers midfielder Malik Tillman got his first outing for the club in the 2-1 friendly defeat to Tottenham at the weekend.
The American international replaced Tom Lawrence for the final twenty minutes of the match and supporters on Twitter were pretty impressed by what they saw from the player:
Thought he looked like a player

Liked the limited look at him. Nice touch, strong. Seems to look for a clever pass.

He looked very streetwise and I think he will do very well.

Great pass to Kent who should have done better shortly after coming on.

He looks quality, calm, composed and follows play brilliantly like great #10s do

It will be interesting to see whether Tillman will be eased into life at Ibrox or whether manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst feels that the 20-year-old can be thrown in at the deep end straight away.
He did feature occasionally for Bayern’s first team last season so he does have limited experience of top-level football but it may be the case that he will be given more appearances off the bench to start off with.
From first impressions, though it does look like Tillman could have a decent impact but it remains to be seen whether he can replace what Joe Aribo brought to the team.
