Rangers have reignited their interest in Standard Liege midfielder Nicolas Raskin, according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri.
The Belgian reporter claims that “things are moving” in regards to a transfer taking place, with more updates expected in the “coming days”:

Raskin’s contract at Standard expires at the end of the season and, after refusing to sign an extension, he has been frozen out of the first team by manager Ronny Deila.
Tavolieri doesn’t make it clear whether Rangers are negotiating a deal for this month, simply saying that “advanced discussions” are underway, but Raskin has not kicked a football in anger since November. It’s therefore likely that the 21-year-old will be allowed to leave Belgium before the transfer window closes for a modest fee.
Light Blues boss Michael Beale has been left frustrated with progress on signings. However, things have begun to move forward. A deal for Norwich’s Todd Cantwell is set to be finalised, while there are also hopes of securing the signature of Swansea’s Morgan Whittaker.
