REPORT: Rangers Hoping £6m Offer Will Be Enough To Secure Next Summer Signing

Rangers have tabled a loan offer for Liverpool winger Ryan Kent, according to the Football Insider. The website reports that the bid includes the obligation to sign the player for £6m next summer.

It is believed that the Light Blues have been locked in negotiations with the European champions about the 22-year-old and have now put a formal proposal on the table.

Whether the offer will satisfy Liverpool, it remains to be seen. The Reds had demanded £12m earlier this summer but Rangers are reportedly only willing to pay half that amount.

With Kent unable to join an English club with the transfer window closed, and Liverpool only willing to sanction a sale, it puts the Gers in pole position to get a move over the line.

Kent is currently not involved in the Merseyside club’s first-team plans and was even overlooked for the Under 23s when they played Chelsea on Monday night, suggesting a move away from Anfield is highly likely.
