Rangers Will Have To Meet 3M Valuation To Sign Championship Star Who Was Watched By Wilson In Person

Rangers will have to pay £3m if they want to land Wolves defender Dion Sanderson, according to reports in the Scottish media.

The 23-year-old is currently on loan at Championship side Birmingham City and it is believed that director of football Ross Wilson and scout John Park watched the player in person last week.

However, in addition to the asking price, there is another complication that could prevent the Gers from signing Sanderson this month.

Birmingham agreed a season-long loan deal for the centre-back last summer, which DIDN’T include a recall option, so it would be up to the Midlands side to agree to the transfer in January.

Considering John Eustace’s team are keen on recruiting Sanderson too on a permanent basis, that seems unlikely, but the fact that they could be subject to a takeover means they are not expected to have the funds to finance the move anyway. We shall have to wait and see how this transfer story develops.
