Rangers Handed Tough Europa League Draw Against Bundesliga Giants

Rangers will face Bayer Leverkusen in the last 16 of the Europa League. The Bundesliga club beat the Light Blues’ groups stage opponents Porto in the last round.

They actually won both legs against the Portuguese side, winning 2-1 at home, before beating them 3-1 away in Portugal last night.

Leverkusen are also flying high in the league at the moment, currently sitting fifth after 23 games played, just six points below Bayern Munich who sit top of the table.

The German team were one of the sides who dropped down from the Champions League, after finishing third in their group. They only won two games but it must be said they were drawn alongside Juventus and Atletico Madrid.

Their two most dangerous players are Germany international Kai Havertz, who is being chased by the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United, and Jamaican starlet Leon Bailey, who has been watched by Chelsea in the past.
