Rangers Handed Major Transfer Boost As Rival Falters In Bid For 1.7M Rated Algerian Ace

Rangers are still in with a chance of signing Nimes winger Zinedine Ferhat, after the Algerian’s move to Strasbourg stalled.

Alsa Sports claims that the 28-year-old has ambitions of playing for a bigger club than Strasbourg and he is also not happy about the personal terms being offered.

Ferhat was originally linked with the Gers back in May, along with Sassuolo and Saint-Etienne but, despite manager Steven Gerrard needing more options on the right flank, the Scottish champions have so far not made a move for him.

The Algerian international is expecting to leave Nimes after the club’s relegation to the second tier. He has only played five minutes in the Ligue Two side’s first two matches this season.

It is not believed that Ferhat would cost a great deal either, with reports suggesting he would be available for around €2m (£1.7m), but we shall see if the Light Blues do make a bid for him before the transfer window closes.
