Rangers Eyeing Move For South American Star Who Has 77 Goal Contributions In His Last 152 Appearances

Rangers have identified FC Midtjylland midfielder Evander as a potential target ahead of the transfer deadline, according to reports.

The Brazilian has scored 43 goals and provided 34 assists in 152 appearances for his current club but he could switch teams before the end of the month.

Evander was in talks with Turkish giants Galatasaray but it is believed that negotiations have now collapsed, leaving the Gers and FC Copenhagen as his two main suitors.

The big stumbling block is expected to be the 24-year-old’s asking price. The player has just under three years remaining on his current deal and Midtjylland are not likely to sell him for a low fee.

Manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst has, however, dropped a major hint that his summer business is not over. The Dutchman says he expects a “crazy” end to the transfer window, and it remains to be seen if his plans include an offer for Evander.
