Rangers Expected To Make Move For Belgian Under 21 Ace Who Will Be Available Next Month

Rangers are interested in signing Anderlecht winger Francis Amuzu, according to reports in the Ghanaian media.

The Gers had scouts at an Anderlecht match versus Charleroi last month and it now appears they were checking on the Belgian Under 21 international.

Amuzu has failed to establish himself in Anderlecht’s first team and it is believed that the 22-year-old will be allowed to leave the Jupiler Pro League side when the transfer window opens in January.

The Ghanaian-born Belgian has been on Everton and Borussia Dortmund’s radar in the past but it isn’t expected that Rangers will face much competition for the player.

This season, Amuzu has made 21 appearances but only seven have been starts. He generally plays on the right-wing, which is his natural side, although, he has on occasion played on the left-hand side.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst does have the likes of Kemar Roofe, Ianis Hagi and Scotty Wright who can all play off the right flank but it seems the Light Blues boss is keen on adding to his options.
