Rangers Cool Interest In Brazilian Ace Amid Reports Of 6.8M Asking Price

Rangers are one of a number of clubs who have baulked at FC Midtjylland midfielder Evander‘s price tag, according to reports in Denmark.

The Gers are believed to have walked away from talks when it was revealed that the Brazilian would cost around 60m Danish Krone, which works out at around £6.8m.

Evander does have a very good goal and assist record in the Danish Superliga, but it seems his valuation was beyond what Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side were willing to pay.

The 24-year-old has also attracted interest from Serie A side Salernitana, as well as Turkish giants Galatasaray, but both teams were also put off by Midtjylland’s demands.

From the sound of things, Rangers won’t be looking to go back in for Evander before the window closes. With the transfer deadline just over a week away, it does appear as if the Light Blues may have completed their business for the summer.
