Rangers Consider Loan Swoop For 3 Cap International Playmaker As They Look To Replace Hagi

Rangers are interested in Galatasaray attacking midfielder Olimpiu Morutan, according to reports in the Turkish media.

The Romanian, who has been capped three times by his country, is believed to be on the Light Blues’ radar with the Scottish champions weighing up whether to make a loan offer that includes an option to buy in January.

Morutan only moved to Galatasaray from FCSB in August but he has struggled to establish himself as a first-team regular, making only eight starts in the Turkish Super Lig.

The 22-year-old has a very similar profile to his fellow countryman Ianis Hagi, and there is some speculation that the Gers may be targeting a replacement for their current no.7.

Whether there is any truth in that, we shall have to wait and see. Hagi has been mentioned as a potential transfer target for the likes of Sevilla, Lazio, Aston Villa and also Galatasaray over the past few months.
