Rangers winger Glenn Middleton has undergone a medical ahead of a loan switch to Hibernian, according to reports in the Scottish media. The 19-year-old was expected to make the move to Dutch club NAC Breda but it appears that Hibs have won the race.
The midfielder made 29 appearances in all competitions for the Gers last season, but the arrival of the likes of Jake Hastie and Sheyi Ojo this summer means he was unlikely to get much game time.
A move to Hibernian will allow Middleton to develop his game further, although it will also strengthen a rival, which may not be seen as good news to some Rangers fans.
The teenager signed a five-year contract back in October 2018 so his long-term future at the club is secure. Supporters will be hoping he returns to the club next summer after a breakthrough season in the top flight of Scottish football.
