“One To Watch Out For. He’s On Fire…” Negri Warns Rangers To Beware Of Dangerous Napoli Star

Rangers legend Marco Negri has warned his former team to be very wary of the talents of Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia on Wednesday night.

The Georgian international has been in excellent form at the start of this campaign and, while the forward is by no means Napoli’s only threat, Negri says the Gers should pay special attention to the 21-year-old:

“Kvaratskhelia is the one to watch out for. He’s on fire. It’s been a bit of a surprise as no one expected this from him but he’s the Serie A player of the month and is playing with joy and confidence. He’s young but looks like a veteran. He started out as a defender but has moved up the pitch and really has a strong sense for goals. So Rangers must be aware.”

Kvaratskhelia has burst onto the scene since Napoli plucked him from the obscurities of Georgian football in the summer. He has scored four goals in seven Serie A games so far this season and he played a key role in his team’s sensational 4-1 win over Liverpool last week.

The winger generally plays off the left flank so James Tavernier will have the unenviable task of keeping him quiet for the full 90 minutes at Ibrox.

Considering the captain’s poor form recently, though, fans may not be holding out much hope that Kvaratskhelia will be marked out of the game.
