Midfielder Admits He’d Welcome EPL Switch But Reaffirms Commitment To Rangers

Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara says he is happy to stay at Rangers but has admitted he would be interested in playing for a Premier League club.

Brighton are reportedly interested in the Finnish international, with new manager Graham Potter having previously tried to sign the player for Swansea.

When asked about whether there was anything in the reports linking him with the Seagulls, Kamara replied that it was just conjecture at this point:

“Rumours are part of football. But nothing concrete has happened, it is just speculation. Yes, it would be a dream to play in the Premier League, but for the moment I am happy to play for Rangers.”

The 23-year-old had initially agreed to move to Rangers at the end of the season but the switch was brought forward after the Light Blues agreed to pay Dundee £50,000 for the player in January.

Kamara has looked very impressive since moving to Ibrox, having played 16 matches for the Gers in the second half of last season, scoring one goal and contributing three assists.

The former Arsenal trainee is expected to play for Finland this evening when they face Bosnia in a Euro 2020 qualifier.
