Aaron Ramsey made his second start for Rangers in the 3-0 win over Dundee in the Scottish Cup yesterday evening.
The Welshman has had terrible luck with injuries since arriving at Ibrox in January, and many had started to question why the former Arsenal player had been signed in the first place.
However, Ramsey looked in fine fettle at Dens Park, linking up play well, and playing an important role in the build-up to the penalty. While some fans on Twitter were delighted with his performance, others were less convinced:
He’s levels above anyone in this league. You seen it yesterday, he sees passes that no one else sees. His movement, and intelligence is top drawer also. If he stays fit, then he could be the guy that gets us over the line.

Looked good yesterday and if he stays fit could be the difference in the remaining games to win the league?

‘Stole the show’ is a bit of a stretch is it not. He was decent against a rotten Dundee side. I know he is not fit but he didn’t steal the show at all.
Obviously I hope he can kick on and help us win the league & cup (dare we dream of Europe too). But let’s be honest about him.

It will take more than a good 80 minutes against a team who sit at the bottom of the Scottish Premiership table to convince supporters that the 31-year-old is worth the outlay.
While Ramsey can’t be blamed for his poor fitness record, it is not surprising that some are frustrated with his lack of game time in the past six weeks. It will be hoped that he can now keep himself available for selection until the end of the season.
