Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst has confirmed that Aaron Ramsey will be on the bench when the Light Blues take on Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League this evening.
The Wales international has rarely featured since arriving on loan from Juventus in January due to injury problems and fans on Twitter have been expressing their frustration about how things have turned out:
Gutted about Ramsey. Again. What a strange strange signing.

If Ramsey ends up playing both games for wales in the upcoming internationals someone needs to be sacked surely as it will look like we have just paid for the privelage of getting him for for wales duty

I donβt understand the thoughts on the money we spent on this deal when we could of had a quality starter for the same price in position that we needed.

With his loan set to expire in the summer, Ramsey may only be able to play eleven more matches for the club before he returns to Juve. Of course that number could increase if the Gers do progress further in either the Europe League or Scottish Cup.
Considering the ex-Arsenal star has only played four times for the Bears in total so far, only one of which was a start, it does look as though the decision to recruit him is unlikely to pay dividends. While the club are not paying the majority of his wages, they are still shelling out a sizeable sum for a player who can barely get off the treatment table.
