Journalist Claims Rangers Have A “Slight Problem” That Could End Their Hopes Of Signing 28 Cap International

Queens Park Rangers’ reluctance to sell Lyndon Dykes could jeopardise Rangers’ chances of signing the Scottish international, according to journalist Dean Jones.

The former Eurosport reporter claims that the Light Blues are lining up an offer for the 27-year-old, but getting agreement from QPR could prove problematic:

“I’ve checked it out and Dykes is definitely someone that Rangers are keen on. The slight problem is that QPR absolutely do not want to lose him.”

Dykes left Scottish football when he was sold by Livingston to the English Championship club for £2m during the summer of 2020. He has racked up double figures for goals in his first two seasons down south and he has become a regular starter for Scotland, collecting 28 caps.

Gers boss Michael Beale knows the forward well after working with him at QPR earlier this campaign so he is likely to be the driving force behind the deal.

Beale says he hasn’t given up hope on Alfredo Morelos signing a contract extension, but if the Colombian refuses to sign on the dotted line, it could be the case that Dykes is being lined up as a possible replacement.
