Rangers duo Jame Murphy and Jordan Jones are expected to leave Ibrox before the transfer window closes, according to multiple reports in the Scottish media.
Murphy has been linked with loan moves to Dundee United and Hibernian, while Jones’ international manager Ian Baraclough has confirmed that the Northern Irishman has been told to find a new club.
Were both players to depart this summer, it would leave the Light Blues with fewer options in wide areas, and it has led to a debate among fans on Twitter on whether the two players should be let go:
I would get them out the door so we can bring some more in apparently Jacob Murphy from Newcastle season long loan deal and we are linked with a couple of midfielders

I would keep one of them. Jones was doing great until injury. Murphy hasn’t been given a chance since coming back from injury. Barker played well last game but for me – IMO – I rate jones and Murphy higher than him. Just my opinion.

I’d send them both to hibs although that’ll be an unpopular suggestion. Hibs are a team that sometimes gets points of Celtic so sending both there increases those chances

6 months later we’l b crying out for wide players

Only out on loan if there wages are paid. We need to stop loaning players out and still.paying the money. It depends if we bring another winger in. Only having Kent and Barker is not enough. I’d let both go if we bring another wide player in

We’ve got to trust the manager, Murphy done nothing wrong bar getting injured, Jones let himself down with the sending off and hadn’t really got back in to the team

Jones,Barker & Murphy all vying for left side place that Kent plays in. Barker & Kent being used to cover right side too. We already need a natural RW in my opinion if these 2 go we’ll need another winger.

Manager Steven Gerrard clearly doesn’t see a future for either winger and it is thought that, if one or both depart, a replacement will be sought. Newcastle’s Jacob Murphy is thought to be on the club’s list of targets.
However, it has been claimed over the past couple of days that the Magpies would demand a £1m loan fee and they would expect any club to cover his £40,000 a week wages; something that Rangers would likely refuse to do.
