Rangers forward Jermain Defoe has shared a video on Twitter of him seeing Ibrox for the first time after joining on loan from Bournemouth fifteen months ago.
The former Tottenham and Sunderland striker said he was so excited that he asked to be allowed on the pitch the very day he signed for the Light Blues:
So this was day after I signed.. I just couldn’t wait to see ibrox so I decided to just turn up and asked security if I could see the pitch! A little kiss for good luck ? pic.twitter.com/4hljrbdpf5

Defoe has been an excellent addition to the squad since arriving last year. Despite now being 37 years of age, the forward continues to perform at the highest level.
After scoring eight goals in 20 appearances in the second half of last season, the Englishman has managed to hit the back of the net 17 times in all competitions this campaign.
Defoe confirmed in January that he will be staying on a permanent basis when his loan deal from Bournemouth expires in the summer.
