Rangers attacking midfielder Todd Cantwell put in a standout performance during the 3-1 win over Kilmarnock at the weekend.
The January signing has had a rather slow start to life at Ibrox but he played a key role in the Gers’ first two goals on Saturday and fans on Twitter feel they are beginning to see the best of the 25-year-old:
A very good performance from him today. Easily man of the match.

He constantly wants and shows for the ball… along with Raskin, really sticks out in that side who look for easy ball, usually across or back rather than forward

Thought he was good.Takes time for a new player to gel with the team. Need to give him and Raskin time. Hopefully by time we go there they are getting integrated 👍🏼

Sits a lot deeper than I thought he would. Good talent

Him and Raskin were constantly looking to play into and off the further forward player in the space between there midfield and striker. Going wide was the last option rather than the first. Cantwell looks like he loves a 1-2 which takes opponents out the game

Fitness has been one of Cantwell’s main issues since arriving from Norwich City in January, but he did last almost the full 90 minutes against Killie, before being replaced by Scott Arfield in injury time.
Playing alongside fellow January addition Nicolas Raskin in the middle of the park, you can see what both can bring to the table, and it does raise more questions about why neither started the League Cup final against Celtic.
It will be hoped that both Cantwell and Raskin feature heavily in the Gers’ starting lineup for the rest of the season.
