“A Little Bit Lost…” Laudrup Raises Concerns About Rangers Star’s Form

Rangers legend Brian Laudrup believes Ryan Kent’s positioning and poor decision-making are key reasons for his poor form at the moment.

The 25-year-old is likely to face his former club Liverpool for the second time in the space of a week but Laudrup feels that he needs to improve in certain areas if he is to have any impact on the game on Wednesday night:

“I’ve said before that Kent has become a little bit lost in terms of how he sees games. He makes wrong decisions and is not getting into enough areas where he can actually hurt teams. It’s such a shame because we know the depth of Kent’s talent.”

Considering Kent was rested against St Mirren at the weekend, it does suggest that the Englishman will be recalled to face the Reds. Whether he deserves to get his place back is another matter.

Laudrup is definitely right that the winger has let poor habits creep into his game which have affected his performances but you do feel there are other aspects that need to be considered too.

Kent has less than a year remaining on his contract, and it wouldn’t be surprising if he has one eye on potentially leaving Ibrox next summer. We shall see if he puts in a better display tomorrow evening.
