West Ham And Other ‘Top Level Clubs’ Circling As Rangers Try To Lock Down 22 Year Old To New Deal

West Ham and other “top level clubs” are interested in signing Rangers goalkeeper Robby McCrorie, according to the Daily Record.

The 22-year-old is being eyed by the Hammers as a long-term successor to their current number one Lukasz Fabianski, who is now 34 years of age.

However, Rangers are said to be determined to keep McCrorie, who has performed superbly during his loan spell with Livingston over the last few months.

The keeper has put in some noteworthy performances since his arrival at the Lions, conceding just nine goals in eight appearances, and keeping two clean sheets.

McCrorie’s current contract expires in 2022 and the Gers are believed to have started discussions over extending his stay at Ibrox.

With Wes Foderingham expected to leave on a free transfer at the end of the season, and first choice Allan McGregor now 38, the young shot-stopper may not have to wait long to get his chance in the Light Blues’ first team.
