The SPFL have confirmed that Rangers’ game against Motherwell has been switched to 12 pm on Saturday, to give the Scottish champions more time to prepare for the Europa League semi-final first leg next week.
The match was originally scheduled to be played on Sunday afternoon, but an agreement with Motherwell, Police Scotland and Sky Sports was reached so that the game could be brought forward by a day.
Considering the club’s run-ins with the SPFL in the past, Rangers’ supporters weren’t holding out much hope for the fixture change but they have been pleasantly surprised by the decision:
Well, I'm stunned!!!
Great news for the Club. Thanks SPFL for finally making the right call on behalf of Rangers for a change.

I've never known Scottish football to be so fair minded, sensible and supportive of their own.

Motherwell have already drawn twice with the Gers in the league this season so a trip to Fir Park was always going to be a tough affair anyway. The extra day could, though, prove crucial as manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst prepares his team to face a very challenging opponent in RB Leipzig.
