Rangers and West Ham are among the teams who are interested in Sheffield United forward Oli McBurnie, according to reports in the UK.
It was claimed last week that the Light Blues were weighing up a move for the 24-year-old, with the Blades seeking a £15m fee, but this latest report adds the Hammers into the mix and says £10m could be enough to snap up the striker.
Even so, the large majority of supporters on Twitter don’t think McBurnie would be worth the investment, despite the fact he is a Rangers fan:
I hope not. We can do better than him. We don’t play to a target man.

If that was his agent flying a kite, he didn't get the response he hoped for.

7 goals in 59 games for a CF and no international goals just doesnt cut it for me.

Not better than what we’ve got anyway imho

£10m would still be very close to Rangers’ transfer record, and to pay that amount for a player who scored just one goal last season would be a huge gamble.
There are certainly a lot of cheaper alternatives out on the market, and with the Scottish champions having also signed Fashion Sakala, going after another forward is unlikely to be at the top of the agenda.
