“Definitely His Wish… ” – Agent Of £7M Rated Forward Speaks Out Following Clement’s Call For Transfer Talks

Abdallah Sima’s representative has revealed that the forward wants to remain at Rangers beyond the end of his loan spell.

The Senegalese international will return to Brighton in June but, when asked whether the player would like to stay in Glasgow, his agent Bathie Toure said:

“Abdallah Sima is good at Rangers and wants to continue there. He likes the atmosphere at the club and wants to continue to evolve as a player. Abdallah is currently the most exciting young Senegalese player. He is a hard worker and has been looked after well in his career.”

“At the moment, he is happy because he is playing every week at Rangers. He feels comfortable there and it is definitely his wish to stay. We will see what happens at the end of his loan.”

Clement wants to make Sima’s move permanent

Back in early December, manager Phillippe Clement promised that there would be “talks” about the 22-year-old’s future before the end of the season.

The Gers boss heavily hinted that he wanted to keep Sima at Ibrox, and it appears that the player shares the same desire.

Rangers will have to pay a sizeable fee for the forward

Sima’s parent club Brighton paid £7m when he joined from Slavia Prague in the summer of 2021. Considering the fact that he has scored 15 goals in 33 appearances since making the switch to the Gers, the Seagulls may demand a similar fee for him now.

The English Premier League side are notoriously tough negotiators, having sold Moises Caicedo to Chelsea for £115m last summer, so they are unlikely to lower their asking price for the player.

One factor that may help Rangers, though, is Sima will be inside the final 12 months of his contract next summer, and that will affect what Brighton can realistically expect in terms of a transfer fee.
