“Too Good To Play For Them…” Beale Issues Hands Off Warning As Clubs Line Up Approach For 6M Rated Rangers Star

Rangers manager Michael Beale has dismissed reports linking Glen Kamara with a January switch to Ligue One side Nantes.

It had been claimed in the French media that the Finnish international could secure a £6m transfer to the northwest of France but Beale says the former Arsenal midfielder possesses the talent to play for a team at a much higher level:

“I would always want him to be in a Rangers team that I was coaching or watching. In terms of all the speculation and looking at some of the clubs that are after him, in my opinion, I think that that the best version of Glen is too good to play for them.”

Marseille and Nice have also been mentioned as potential suitors for Kamara, while Salernitana and Monza in Italy were believed to be keen on snapping up the player as well.

However, from the sound of things, the 27-year-old will be staying at Ibrox, as long as he can show Beale that he is capable of living up to his past performances.

There has been a feeling among supporters that Kamara has pretty much called time on this Gers career, after looking well off the pace this season, but Beale obviously feels there is a way back for him.
