Celtic and Aberdeen players have both breached lockdown rules leading to a warning from First Minister Nicola Sturgeon that top-flight football could be cancelled if there are any more indiscretions.
Hoops star Boli Bolingoli flew to Spain without permission last week, while Dons players were seen drinking at a bar, breaking rules designed to keep them from being infected by COVID-19.
Rangers fans on Twitter are hoping the SPFL punish the two clubs for putting the Premiership season at risk, with some even hoping for point deductions or forfeited fixtures, using precedence from other European leagues:
Throw the book at them

Celtic and Aberdeen should be punished individually. Point deduction. The rest of us shouldn’t be punished for this

It’s should be dealt with by the proper authorities

Absolute disgrace they should be docked points and killie awarded tie for fielding ineligible player plus every player he has been in close proximity to should also have to self isolate for 2 weeks and them made to play the fixtures in that period with seriously depleted squad ?

Both them and sheep have members on the board so nothing will be done. Technically the other team have fielded an ineligible player at it should be treated as such.

The lack of discipline has been pretty shocking. The players involved should know better and there has to be some sort of punishment meted out in order to deter these type of indiscretions recurring in the coming weeks and months.
With Sturgeon having had to speak out about the situation, the behaviour of certain players is simply putting the future of the Scottish game at risk.
