Three Rangers Stars Who Could Be Poached By Other Teams This Summer

The Ibrox Stadium.

Rangers may have had another disappointing season for all intents and purposes but there is no doubt there is a lot of talent in the first team squad.

Manager Steven Gerrard has yet to get the most out of them on a consistent basis, despite some excellent displays against Celtic and in the Europa League this campaign.

With that being the case, there are likely to be a fair few clubs sending scouts to Ibrox in order to assess who they could snap up to improve their own squads.

Press the “next page” as we look at the three stars who are the likeliest to be poached by other teams in the summer.

Borna Barisic

The Croatian took a while to settle in Scotland, with his first season having been hampered with injuries, but he has been superb during his second campaign with the Gers.

Barisic has scored two goals and provided an impressive 14 assists in 38 appearances for the Light Blues. He was rewarded for his fine form with a contract extension at the end of January.

However, the left-back’s agent has stated he could well be on his way in the summer, with the likes of Napoli and Roma reportedly keen on the player.

Alfredo Morelos

The Colombian has struggled since Christmas for goals, but he was in red hot form in the first half of the campaign, and there will certainly be teams keen on signing him up at the end of the season.

English clubs such as Aston Villa, Newcastle and West Ham are among those who have been heavily linked with Morelos, but the likes of Eintracht Frankfurt and Atletico Madrid have also been mentioned as possible destinations.

Joe Aribo

The Nigerian international has had an inconsistent season, but his talent is certainly not in question. It was seen as a coup for Gerrard when he managed to persuade him to leave Charlton last summer.

Since then, he has impressed on occasions for the Light Blues, but he has also starred for his country, scoring in friendlies against Ukraine and Brazil last year, which will no doubt bring him to the attention of teams right across Europe.
