Sky Sports Pundit Backing One Rangers Star To Shine Against Braga Tonight

Charlie Nicholas is tipping Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos to be the key difference-maker when the Bears face Braga in the Europa League this evening.

The Sky Sports pundit thinks the Colombian international has been quiet in recent weeks but he is backing the 23-year-old to deliver the goals at Ibrox tonight:

“Alfredo Morelos has been quiet since coming back, not only in terms of goals but in relation to incidents and cards too. These are the types of games which Morelos will thrive in.”

“They beat Porto and have beaten better teams than this, so I expect them to go and win this. It will be a tense affair but a powerful and aggressive performance will ensure Rangers pick up the win.”

Morelos’s form has certainly dipped following the winter break. The forward has managed just one goal, against Hamilton in the Scottish Cup, since the beginning of January.

He has had some goals chalked off for offside, and he is still getting on the end of chances, but Rangers will need to get him back firing in front of goal if they are to progress to the last 16 of the Europa League.

Braga are pretty decent defensively, having conceded just 23 in 21 league matches this campaign. However, they did concede three at home to Wolves in the group stages, and Morelos won’t need a second invitation to take advantage of any uncertainty at the back.
