REPORT: Agents Of Rangers Star Are Unhappy With Club’s Plan To Sell Him For £13m

The agents of midfielder Ianis Hagi are not happy with Rangers’ plan to sell on the Romanian international for a profit this summer, according to La Lazio Siamo Noi.

The Italian website claim that while the Gers have the right to sign the 21-year-old on a permanent basis for €5m, his entourage would much rather he return to Genk.

It is believed Rangers would seek to sell Hagi for around €15m (£13m) at the end of the season and Hagi’s camp are worried that may price him out of a move to Lazio.

Instead, they would prefer the Light Blues to opt against triggering their purchase option and send him back to Belgium.

This would then allow Genk to negotiate a more modest fee of around €7m (£6m) to €8m (£7m) with Lazio. However, the decision very much rests with Rangers.

If the Scottish club feel there is a possibility of making a substantial profit on Hagi, they are well in the rights to do so.
