‘Pure Class’ ‘Give The Boy A Free Role’ Fans Issue Demand After Seeing What Rangers Star Did Against St Mirren

Rangers midfielder Todd Cantwell played a key role in the Light Blues’ win versus St Mirren at the weekend.

The 25-year-old provided the assist for both of Abdallah Sima’s goals, and supporters on X have been praising his ability to create chances, with some even saying that manager Philippe Clement should give the player more freedom:

Cantwell can unlock tightly packed defences

While the Gers do have some good midfielders, there isn’t anyone in the squad who has the creativity that Cantwell possesses.

Clement may go into the market to put that right during the January transfer window or next summer but, until that happens, Cantwell will have to have relied upon for that spark in the final third of the pitch.

There is often a debate about Cantwell’s position in the Rangers team

The Englishman has played right across the midfield this season, having played just as many games out wide as he has in central areas.

To get the best out of Cantwell, Clement needs to pick the midfielder as a no.10 on a regular basis. He will be able to get more involved in proceedings and provide more of those killer balls that fans saw against St Mirren on Sunday.
