‘A Right Footed Neil McCann’ ‘Unlucky Not To Be On The Scoresheet’ Fans Praise Rangers Ace After Livingston Display

Rangers winger Ross McCausland was handed his full debut by manager Philippe Clement in the 2-0 win over Livingston at the weekend.

The 20-year-old performed well on his first start, having a goal ruled out for VAR and winning the penalty for the second goal.

Fans on X were very impressed with McCausland’s performance and many felt he warranted Clement’s decision to include him in the first eleven:

McCausland showed no signs of nerves

Some young players are too eager to impress when they are given a chance in the first team but the winger looked very much at home in a Gers shirt.

The fact that he had made seven substitute appearances prior to Sunday’s game would have helped but, even so, McCausland grabbed the opportunity with both hands.

Rangers now have to tie him down to a new contract

The Northern Ireland international’s current deal at Ibrox expires at the end of the season so the Light Blues now have to make sure he agrees to a long-term extension.

Reports suggest that the Gers have tabled an offer that will keep McCausland in Glasgow until 2027, so we shall have to wait and see whether he agrees to put pen to paper in the coming weeks. Based on his display against Livingston, supporters will be very keen for him to stay.
