Rangers midfielder John Lundstram put in an abject performance against Ross County at the weekend.
The 30-year-old was slack in his passing as well as being guilty of ball-watching as George Harmon scored County’s second goal.
After looking revitalised in the early months of Philippe Clement‘s reign in charge, Lundstram has really laboured in recent matches and supporters on X were not holding back in their criticism of the player:
He was rotten yesterday. Has been for weeks.

I wouldn’t give him another game

He’s back to his usual self so probably means he signed the deal already

Lundstrum has reverted to type just like most of them the new manager bounce has finished and it’s back to normal

3 – 1 down, & he s casually strolling about midfield, as if we re winning

Lundstram has never won a league with rangers. He’s had plenty of chances. He’s won a league cup and Scottish cup. It’s not good enough, the guy isn’t the winner we need in there. Time to move on.

Not rangers quality

Calls for a new contract have gone quiet
Many fans and pundits were backing Lundstram to be offered a contract extension until very recently. The Englishman’s current deal expires at the end of the season.
However, based on his recent form, it wouldn’t be at all surprising if Lundstram is let go on a free transfer.
Rangers’ title hopes have been seriously dented
The Light Blues had managed to drag themselves back into the title race in recent months, with the help of some poor results from Celtic.
However, with the title in their grasp, their defeat at Victoria Park has handed the initiative right back to their Old Firm rivals. If they do beat Dundee in their rescheduled game, the Gers will go back within one point of the league leaders but they may now have to win the game at Celtic Park in order to reclaim top spot.
