Rangers Need To Up Offer By 750K If They Want To Secure Second Summer Signing

Rangers will have to up their bid by £750,000 if they want to sign PAOK Salonika striker Antonio Colak, according to reports in the Scottish media.

It’s believed that the Bears have already had a £1.75m offer knocked back for the Croatian international, with PAOK holding out for around £2.5m.

Colak is also being pursued by four other European clubs but the forward’s preferred move is to Scotland after his last visit made a lasting impression on him.

While his brace did help Malmo secure their passage against Rangers in the Champions League qualifier last season, Colak was taken aback by the atmosphere at Ibrox.

It means that manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst has a great chance of securing one of his top transfer targets. The Dutchman is very keen to strengthen his forward line, especially as there is still uncertainty over the future of Alfredo Morelos.

Colak could well be the Gers’ second summer signing, following the capture of John Souttar on a free transfer from Hearts.
