Rangers Look To See Off Interest By Offering Deal To £8m Rated Star

Rangers are keen to tie midfielder Glen Kamara down to a new contract after his superb performances for the Light Blues in recent months, according to reports in England.

The Finnish international signed a four and a half year deal when he joined from Dundee for just £50,000 last January but the Gers are looking to ward off potentially interested clubs.

English Championship side Leeds are apparently keen on making a bid for Kamara when the transfer window reopens, while EPL clubs Brighton, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth are also monitoring the player.

It has led to Rangers reportedly slapping an £8m price tag on the 24-year-old, but it seems the Scottish club want the extra security of a new contract as well.

Kamara has been in outstanding form for Steven Gerrard’s side, but he has also played a pivotal role as Finland qualified for Euro 2020; the first major tournament in their history.
