Rangers midfielder Nicolas Raskin had to be stretchered off during the Light Blues’ 2-1 win over Hearts at the weekend.
The Belgian is believed to have picked up an ankle injury and he is not expected to be back in action anytime soon.
Raskin looked visibly distressed as he fell to the turf and he was treated by the Gers’ medical team before he was carried down the tunnel. Fans on X are worried that the player could be out of contention for a while:
Last thing we need. Our season has been diabolical and seems to be getting no better

Another cursed season

At this point who even cares? He’s been as bad as the rest for the last few months, no point in us pretending him not being there will make much difference.

Hopefully not but Raskin won’t be missed on current form

The length of Rangers’ injury list is a concern
Manager Philippe Clement currently has 7 players on the treatment table, including Raskin. Dujon Sterling, Borna Barisic, Kemar Roofe, Rabbi Matondo and Steven Davis are all sidelined.
However, Jose Cifuentes was back on the bench on Sunday after recovering from a knock, while there is hope that Tom Lawrence will soon return after an extended period out.
Who could replace Raskin in the starting lineup?
The Gers take on Dundee on Wednesday evening before they face Hearts once again in the semi-final of the League Cup next weekend. With Raskin unlikely to be available, it will be interesting to see who Clement chooses as a replacement for the 22-year-old.
Cifuentes would be the favourite to come in, having made 3 consecutive league starts prior to picking up his recent injury.
