Rangers Consider Entering Battle With Celtic And 2 Other Clubs For 4M Rated International Striker

Rangers are interested in signing Hibernian striker Kevin Nisbet but they are unlikely to make a bid unless a forward leaves Ibrox this summer, according to reports in the Scottish media.

Celtic, Spartak Moscow and FC Krasnodar have also been keeping tabs on the Scottish international, who scored 18 goals in all competitions for Hibs last season.

Nisbet’s asking price is reportedly £4m, and that is not a figure that the Gers would be interested in matching, as things stand. It’s likely that a deal hinges on Alfredo Morelos’s future.

The Colombian international has been heavily linked with Porto in the Portuguese press but no formal offers have been made for the 25-year-old.

Were that to change, though, and Morelos was allowed to leave, it does seem as though Nisbet is the man next in line.  Manager Steven Gerrard is believed to be a big fan of the striker so it is definitely one to keep an eye on.
