Rangers are closing in on deals for Blackpool’s Tony Weston and Ross County’s James Graham, according to the Sunday Mail.

Weston is also being pursued by Southampton, Everton and Leeds but the Gers can offer a professional contract to the 16-year-old, unlike their English rivals, so they do have a big advantage in securing the player’s signature.

The Blackpool striker has already made his professional debut, making a cameo appearance in the 3-1 win against Maidstone United in the FA Cup second round tie back in December.

Weston’s performances at academy level, though, are believed to have impressed director of football Ross Wilson, who is spearheading the move for the teenager.

Negotiations for Graham are also said to have progressed to a point where terms are close to being agreed. The 16-year-old had also been on Leeds’ radar and he was given trials at both Liverpool and Manchester United last season.
