Dalglish Lavishes Praise On Key Rangers Man As He Makes Title Prediction

Sir Kenny Dalglish has credited Philippe Clement for transforming Rangers after his appointment as manager back in October.

The Light Blues have only dropped five points in the league since the Belgian’s arrival at Ibrox and Dalglish says his team are now the favourites to secure the Scottish Premiership title:

“You can never write Celtic off. However, Philippe Clement has just done such a good job at Rangers, with a couple of good signings since he took over, and they’re still in the last 16 in Europe. Under Clement, the only game they have lost is against Celtic, but that was a bit nip and tuck anyway.”

“At the moment you’d have to say Rangers are the favourites and there are still two Old Firm games to come which could be vital for both teams – it’s a crucial fixture as it is! It’s always either been Celtic or Rangers for success in Scotland.”

Clement’s Rangers record speaks for itself

18 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat in 20 league matches is a very impressive record, and Dalglish is correct to credit Clement for the team’s remarkable turnaround.

Prior to his arrival, the Gers were floundering and many supporters felt that the squad needed a massive overhaul to get back into contention for the league title. However, Clement has proven that just a few tweaks were needed to get the team back on track.

The Old Firm derbies are likely to prove pivotal

With just 2 points separating Rangers and Celtic at the moment, it would be a surprise if the final two derbies don’t end up being decisive in the title race.

The next clash between the two Glasgow clubs takes place at Ibrox near the start of next month, while the final one will be held at Celtic Park after the split in late April.
