‘Of Course It’s Them’ ‘We Have Unfinished Business’ Rangers Fans Respond As Europa League Opponents Are Revealed

Rangers could face Luxembourg outfit Progres Niederkorn in the third qualifying round of the Europa League later this month.

The pair faced each other in the second round of the same competition last year, with Progres also infamously knocked the Gers out when Pedro Caixinha was in charge back in 2017. However, Both teams will need to navigate their next European tie first before setting up another encounter.

Eredivisie side Willem II are Progre’s next opponents and were the Dutch side to make it through, they would be a much sterner opponent for the Light Blues if, that is, they progress against Lincoln Red Imps as expected. Much of the talk among fans on Twitter, though, was about another trip to Luxembourg:

Both qualifying rounds ties will be away from home, and in one-off matches, there is always the danger of a banana skin. Rangers should progress comfortably from the second qualifying round, but playing either Willem II or Progres will be more of a challenge.
