Latest Rangers Injury Report: Updates On Arfield, Jack And Helander

Rangers have suffered a double injury setback with manager Steven Gerrard confirming that Ryan Jack and Scott Arfield will both miss the game against Hamilton Academical. The two players had to be substituted in the 1-0 defeat to Hearts in the Scottish Cup last weekend.

Jack has a bruised heel, and while he will miss the match at Ibrox tomorrow night, he could well be fit to face Ross County on Sunday afternoon.

Arfield, however, picked up a muscle strain, and following a scan, it is expected that the Canadian international will not feature against either Hamilton or Ross County. The 31-year-old could, though, be back in contention for the Europa League tie versus Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday week.

There is some good news on the injury front. Matt Polster and Filip Helander are scheduled to return to full training on Friday.

The Swedish international has not played for the Bears since the Betfred Cup final defeat to Celtic in December but the centre-back could well be back in the squad to play Leverkusen next week.
