Kenny Miller Claims £5M Rated Rangers Ace Has “Clearly Decided” To Leave Ibrox Amid EPL Links

Ex-Rangers striker Kenny Miller believes that Ryan Kent has “clearly decided” to leave the Light Blues on a free transfer this summer.

The former Liverpool player is closing in on the final month of his contract at Ibrox and Miller says a departure is now inevitable:

“Ryan Kent has clearly decided he won’t be signing a new contract at Rangers. I think that’s pretty evident now.”

English Premier League newcomers Burnley are said to be the frontrunners for Kent’s signature and Miller says he can’t blame the winger for moving if he wants a better salary:

“I can understand why [Kent] might want that move in a football sense. The financial gains he’ll get from going there will also be a huge, positive factor in his head. To pick a player of Kent’s calibre up for free – and remember he’s still only 26 – Burnley will be able to offer serious wages. In today’s market, he’s still at least a £5m player. If Kent craves a Premier League move, this is his best opportunity at the optimum point in his career.”

Kent has missed the last two games against St Mirren and Aberdeen due to injury but manager Michael Beale has confirmed that the 26-year-old should be back in contention for the Scottish Cup semi-final versus Celtic this weekend.

Despite being on the verge of leaving the Gers, it’s likely that Kent will be recalled to the starting lineup on Sunday, with the likes of Fashion Sakala and Malik Tillman having struggled in the defeat to the Dons.
