Journalist Claims Teams Have A “Big Opportunity” To Sign Rangers Ace Who Is “Available” For 5M

A number of clubs are expected to take advantage of the “big opportunity” to sign Rangers winger Ryan Kent this month, according to journalist Dean Jones.

The former Eurosport columnist claims that the ex-Liverpool player is “available” for only £5m due to his contract running down, and he believes he could be a “steal” for that price:

“I think this is about to become a big opportunity for him as well as other clubs who need a spark in the second half of the season and beyond that. At £5million, this deal seems a steal, to be honest. There aren’t many players of that creativity that are available at that price right now, so it’s a really interesting situation.”

Manager Michael Beale has reiterated that the Gers remain in talks over extending Kent’s contract but, with every day that passes, the less likely it seems he will sign on the dotted line.

Considering the January transfer window is the last chance for the Light Blues to recoup some money before he can leave on a free transfer next summer, you can understand why they are willing to sell for only £5m.

While Beale would be disappointed to lose Kent midway through the season, after the 26-year-old has shown some improved form in recent weeks, he will know that the club will have to sell up if someone matches the player’s valuation.
