“It Is Understood…” Jordan Campbell Reveals Key Rangers Star Could Leave For Spain On A Free

Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos could be set for a move to Sevilla at the end of the season, according to The Athletic journalist Jordan Campbell.

The Colombian international was controversially omitted from the squad for the second leg of the Champions League qualifier against PSV earlier this week, and Campbell claims there is now every chance he will leave Ibrox when his contract expires next summer:

“Morelos opened up his agency representation to a Spanish-based company and it is understood Sevilla are interested in landing him on a pre-contract this winter.”

Director of Football Ross Wilson may be hoping to offload Morelos before the transfer window shuts next week but much will depend on how high the Gers set the player’s asking price.

Pundit Charlie Nicholas has suggested that the Scottish club could get £10m (including add-ons) for the 26-year-old but that is probably being very optimistic.

Not only is Morelos running down his contract, but his poor attitude and fitness problems make him far less attractive to potential buyers. A free transfer is looking more and more likely at the moment.
