Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst has been reluctant to use his substitutes in recent matches; much to the consternation of supporters.
With his team having performed poorly against St Johnstone on Wednesday evening despite scraping a 1-0 win at McDiarmid Park, there is a feeling that van Bronckhorst should be looking to freshen things up.
Creativity especially seems to be in short supply, and many fans on Twitter would like to see midfielder Alex Lowry get another runout:
Got to wonder what Lowryβs got to do for a game.
He has exactly what weβre missing.

Aberdeen are chronic.
Young Lowry has the x factor and the exuberance of youth. He would shake things up,imo.
As I said tho,I can't see Gio taking a chance on him.— EA Ger (@norgerpd) March 2, 2022
That rangers game was a terrible watch. Why did he no make any subs? Whatβs wrong with Lowry and sakala? Arfield and aribo were pish.

I think lowry has been shunned for an unknown reason. We need someone to gamble, make that crazy run or even just drive forward. Sometimes you get that from youngsters they have a kind of fearlessness. Tonight I seen a scared rangers and it was hard to watch.

Arfield has been running on empty.
Aribo ineffective in midfield.
Kent looked shattered. We had zero creativity in the 2nd half, Lowry sitting on the bench.
The whole team looked jaded last night, some players (Arfield) just do not have the stamina to play 3 games a week.

It will be interesting to see how the Bears lineup against Aberdeen this weekend. It would be a big surprise if van Bronckhorst doesn’t make changes, considering the Dutchman has pretty much used the same lineup for two games in the space of four days.
Fresh legs will be needed, and you would have to think that, considering his performances when picked, Lowry will be in the frame to get some minutes tomorrow afternoon.
