Gerrard Plotting Double January Raid To Land 30M Rated Rangers Pair

Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard wants to bring Rangers duo Glen Kamara and Nathan Patterson with him to the English Premier League club, according to reports in the UK.

Kamara recently signed a new four-year contract back in September, but he was linked with a move to England before then, with the likes of Arsenal, Everton and West Ham all interested.

There is some speculation about there being an agreement in place with Kamara that he would be allowed to leave if the right offer was received, even after the extension was finalised.

In regards to Nathan Patterson, competition for the Scotland international is believed to be fierce. Everton had two bids rejected last summer, while Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich are now all reportedly monitoring his progress.

Gerrard is said to think he can snap up both Kamara and Patterson for £30m in the January transfer window. It remains to be seen whether Villa will actually make a former offer for the pair.
